• SCUBA – Certified in Open Water/Advanced Open Water, Dry Suit, Enriched Oxygen and Rescue Diver – I love to dive, but can’t always find the time or location to enjoy this hobby.

  • Genealogy – I have over 2,000 family members mapped to my family tree, with most branches going back to well before the founding of America. I love the historical aspect and find it fascinating when there are repeating characteristics between generations that share DNA, but may never have met each other.

  • Cryptocurrency – I am interested in Bitcoin/Litecoin/Ethereum etc, the potential uses, the society enhancing advances they could bring, and to some degree the financial potential. I like to study the technical analysis factors and the social impacts.

  • Technology – I love technology and consider myself an “early adopter”. I’m into home automation, Internet of Things, wearbles, all things mobile and Artificial Intelligence and the security aspects of each. I’ll admit, I’m a geek.

  • Freemasonry – I am a Master Mason with Natoma 64 Lodge in Folsom, CA.

  • Aerospace – I love all things space, rocketry and related. I watch the You Tube channels, review the articles and I build scale airplane, rocket and spacecraft models, weathering them to real world conditions.

  • Professional Engagement – I enjoy interfacing with and speaking to colleagues on a wide variety of Information Security topics:
    • Fall 2018 – Invited to speak to the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) during the Quarterly conference on best practices for integrating Managed Service Providers into Information Security governance, risk and compliance strategies
    • Oct 2017 – Invited as a special guest to provide an in-person and closed-circuit presentation to the entire Department of Homeland Security (DHS) during Information Security Month on a variety of Information Security best practices.
